College Consultants of Colorado
Jade Thornton is an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) based in Denver, Colorado, working with students across the country. She holds a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University (see if you can find Jade on the Symbolic Systems major page), where she concentrated in cognitive science. After graduating, Jade worked as a software engineer.
Jade enjoys supporting students of all backgrounds. In an effort to promote equality in the college application process, she works with organizations such as PeerForward and Matchlighters to support low-income and first-generation students.
When she's not working with students or attending a webinar to stay up to date on all things related to college applications, you can find Jade backpacking, hiking up a 14er, or dancing to music in her living room.
Her background in cognitive science and computer engineering shapes how she works: helping students get clear on what they actually want before worrying about what looks good on paper.
